Question about
mayhem

I live in a country where there are no subsidized iphones. An unlocked iphone4 is crazy expensive and hard to get.

I did connect my nokia E65 yo my ipod touch 2g, but the Nokia batter will only last about 45 minutes in this configuration. Since I really want it for data/apps, I was reconsidering an ipod Touch 3g teathered with a nokia, Windows7, or Android phone but looking for a more energy efficient bluetooth teathering. Anyone done it?

I'd imagine if you were to get an Android or Windows Phone 7 device, you might not end up using your iPod touch as much with it, since they have apps, internet, etc on the device itself. What apps are you using on your iPod touch that you can't live with out? The gdgt community might be able to help you find Android (or other?) equivalents.
