I just want an affordable, decent quality 5.1 surround speaker system that works with PS3, does such a thing exist?
They do it just depends on your definition of affordable and what you interpret as being quality. We all have different ears so what I may think sounds good may not sound good to you. Same thing with budget as your budget will greatly dictate where to even begin.
I'm not saying you need to lay out your finances but it might help the users on here guide you in the right direction.

Regent HT-391 it has 3 analog inputs but it has amazing sound works perfectly with my PS3
