I have two of these...but need to get a HD to replace them...thoughts?

LaCie, In my opinion, are not the most reliable HDDs. We have had a lot come through our service department. Now that doesn't mean yours are bad. I'd check out Western Digital. I like their stuff a lot.

To be clear, Lacie makes HD encloures, not the HDs themselves. WD or Seagate drives will work fine.
Also make sure that your enclosures support the (GB) capacity of drives you want.
Lastly its a good idea to have some kind off site backup as well. No point in backing everything up if your house burns down.
