One scenario I wonder about, on the too cold side of the equation, is the car. How cold is too cold for that?
My main notion is stopping at the gym on the way to work in colder weather. The temperature may get down to the teens when I go as we head deeper into winter. How cold outside would an hour in a car have to be before I should worry (allowing for the car to have run for at least 5-10 minutes)?
For me it's a risk/reward question: is there more risk leaving it cold in the car, or having to juggle it among other things in the locker room?
Question about
I have a question about where I might keep my iPad. My understanding is allowing the battery to get too cold or too hot is not good for its life.
ive used the iPad in extreme temperatures (0 to 46 degrees celcius), and have checked out how Li-ion polymer batteries work, since I used to leave it in the car too. You dont need to worry if the ambient temperature is above 0 while its in use, and -10 while its idle. Heat doesnt seem to be of concern, but let me know if you need info on that too..
(temp. in degrees celcius)
