Question about
I have a Dell XPS M1330 laptop that goes to sleep, how do I keep power to the USB ports when it's napping?
When not using my Dell XPS M1330 laptop, I put it to sleep. However, I want my USB connected devices to get powered up while it's napping. I checked the BIOS, but didn't find anything to toggle on.

Nope, sorry. Andrew is right. Newer models started offering that feature, but it requires a hardware change so that they can keep power to just that one yellow port near the front when the rest of the system is off. Not something they can add after the fact. You'll have to live without, upgrade to a new laptop, buy an external battery to use instead, or something.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is only possible if you have a powered USB port on your machine.

Andrew, thanks for your response. I know that some of the new Toshiba laptops have that as a selling point, but I wanted to see if someone else out there who might have experience w/ a m1330 might have a suggestion. There may be a later model driver or even a BIOS upgrade that they can point me to.
