Question about
I got Froyo a little over a week ago. On Friday my phone did an update and ever since then the gmail app has been crashing like crazy.
When gmail goes to sync it will crash giving me the option to "Force Close" or "Report".
Anyone else experience this?
I just did a factory reset a few weeks ago at Verizon's request due to my constant issues with reception/sound quality so I'm really hoping to NOT have to do that to fix this issue. o.O

This could be caused by an invalid cache stored in the Gmail application. Go to your home screen and tap menu -> setting -> applications -> manage applications -> Gmail and clear your data / cache by pressing the appropriate buttons. This should fix your FC issues and any other issues when you re-launch gmail and it syncs down everything again.

Did you ever power cycle after installing Froyo?

For those having the same issue, I deleted the account that crashed while syncing and re-added it and that seemed to fix the issue. That means all the contacts/info, etc, I added is lost but at least I can get my work email when I'm on the go. The phone was very slow while doing all this like it didn't really want to... but in the end persistance triumphed. :p
