Question about
I am distraught about what HP is doing to webOS. Anyone else mourning for Palm?
Had the Pre, amazing phone. Bought the Veer but returned it. Am so sad that such a brilliant OS is biting the dust. Anybody else?

I am a little upset as I was really looking forward to the future of that software. I just purchased an HP Veer tonight on Ebay so that I can at least get a real feel for what it could have been and I wish I could get my hands on a Pre 3. I feel like HP will end up selling the software to another company and we can only hope that at least some parts of webOS (shout out to Touch-To-Share) make their way into a new exciting product in the future.

Yeah I'm taking it pretty hard. I am going to buy a Pre 2 and put my Sprint Pre - radio board in it for use on Sprint. Plan to just use that until it falls apart, hopefully I'll be good to go for several years, and we'll see what the landscape is then. I just love webOS so much that I really have no desire to switch to any of the competing platforms at this point. Hopefully in a few more years they'll be more compelling. Time will tell I suppose, but yeah, I am really pretty ticked at Apotheker. I hate that guy.
