i am considering the new 4GB console bundle - can the games be ripped to a flash drive? if not, is 4GB enough for casual gaming?

Yes you can install the games to a flash drive, however there is one limitation. There is a size limit of the flash drive that can be use and it is either 8 or 16 GB (pretty sure it is 16 GB however). But since flash drives have dropped in price so much it really isn't that big of a deal and the speed improvements should be noticeable.

Think the 360 S 4GB is a great option and would probably get one myself if I did not have a PS3.

I would not get the 4gb model, I burn every game to the hard drive, they run smoother.

Games should be able to be ripped to any drive, internal hard drive, internal flash or external usb flash. 4 gigs isnt enough for pretty much any disc based game though. Casual gaming? Yeah... you just wont have a ton of space for downloading xbox arcade games.

You can use the drive from your old Xbox, if you have one. Just remove it from its case, and insert it in the new xbox 4gig. It recognizes immediately.
