Question about
I am between Kodak Zi8, Kodak PlaySport Zx3 and Flip Ultra HD but I have NO IDEA at all about how to choose one or another.
The fact that the Zx3 has flash memory is a positive for me but I just don't know. I really need your help. Which one of these three or do you recommend any others? Budget is about £250.

My friend has the Zi6 and loves that, another has the Flip Ultra HD and she likes the ease of use of that player. If I were in the market for one of these I'd get the Zi8, which keeps the macro mode, and you can swap out SDHC cards once it starts to fill up. Also, it's probably a good idea for any of these to get an external mic as the internal ones on all these aren't that great.

I can't speak on the Kodak PlaySport, but I'd go for the Kodak Zi8 over the Flip. It has more features as peterto pointed out and in my opinion, it looks nicer too.

I bought the Playsport because I take my kids swimming all the time. The camera is waterproof to 3 meters, and even if you don't care to take underwater video (which looks great), it gives you peace of mind when using the camera around water. There is no scare about dropping it in by accident (unless that water is the ocean or something :) ). The 720p60 mode looks the best. I have been extremely pleased with this device due to the features, and the price/performance ratio.

I have this device and I absolutely love it! From what I've heard, it's better than the other cameras you have listed in your post.

I have a Kodak Playsport Zx3 and using the camera is awesome. The software is eh, but if you know anything about video editing you probably have a way to convert the files into a more manageable format than .mov
The Flip Ultra is soo much bigger and you have to buy a special case to take it underwater. I bought mine to shoot funny videos and take snorkeling videos on my honeymoon and it works great for both. A word of advice is to try to shoot video for at least 30 seconds when you are shooting because the most trouble I have had with this is with really short videos.
It is very rugged, waterproof, smaller (think smaller than an iphone, very similar to ipod classic), has cheap, $5 replaceable batteries that you can buy on amazon and ITS CHEAPER THAN THE FLIP CAMERAS. Taking 720p @ 60fps and 1080p @ 30fps is just icing on the cake.
When you buy a Flip you are paying more for the name and although I bet the software is oodles better it is much bulkier, not as rugged (or waterproof) and more expensive overall.
