Question about

I absolutely can't take it any more

The DSi battery life is so bad, I average about 4 hours with low brightness and wireless turned off. I can't imagine trying to use this thing in a serious situation..., like a 28 hour road trip or something. How could Nintendo release a mobile product that can't even stay alive long enough to matter?

My iPhone has better battery life than this..., which is PATHETIC.

For a road trip, you can always try a car adapter:

just give your DSi to me. I'll replace the battery for you. All I ask is that I get to keep it when I'm done. ^_^

Seriously, if it's within warranty, get on the phone with Nintendo and send it in for repair. ALWAYS take advantage of warranties when you can. You shouldn't have to pay for a product's defects.

Well, I don't know about other situations, but in the event of a road trip they make car adapters to keep your stuff charged.

If I remember correctly, you can replace the battery yourself so if you don't mind carrying another battery and a screwdriver along with your DSi, you'll be able to play longer. That is of course assuming that you are out of warranty so that you don't break any seals.

Hmmmmmmmmm

Why do you buy it in the first place over DS lite?

The battery life is a well documented cons over DS lite...

Did you properly condition the battery when you first bought it?

I notice a bit of drop in time from the DS lite, but nothing near what it sounds like you're experiencing. I don't really condition batteries much anymore unless it is a laptop or some high dollar item like that, so I am probably getting the average life out of it.

You have got to have a dud battery.

I get pretty good battery life, I don't know how much but it more than 4 hours for sure. Using Opera Browser drains it pretty good, but playing games and stuff it pretty normal for me.

When my DSi was new the battery life was good but now it has dropped significantly. I'm probably around the 4 hour mark as well.
