Question about
hp touchpad pricematch?
So I don't know if this has been asked yet, but here it goes. I wasn't able to get a touchpad this weekend, either from online retailers or local stores. I noticed that newegg had them in stock for full price. Let's say that I buy one from there, will I be able to get a price match eventually? I was thinking of doing that. And if don't get the price match, I can send it back and get a full refund. Is it worth it? I have nothing to lose, I think.

That's up in the air if newegg will price match you. I've read people that gotten price matched at various places when buying the TouchPad at full price, BestBuy, WalMart and HP.com. I'd be wary on buying a TouchPad at full price and banking on a retailer price matching you. If you want up to date info on what's happening, check out the slickdeals site since they've been tracking this entire ordeal pretty closely.

Edit: Slickdeals suggest refusing shipment if the place you've ordered from doesn't price match.

I have only heard of HP offering price matches if you prove your Touchpad was bought in a certain time frame (i.e. before the huge drop).

hmm i guess that makes sense. But newegg is bound to drop the price too, right? eventually anyways.
