Verizon global dept told me that it should work fine (albeit $2/minute).
Googling revealed a plethora of CDMA-like acronyms that may or may not be compatible with Verizon's version of CDMA. :-(
Anyone with real experience using Verizon's enV3 in China? Is there a better option?
I don't expect to be using the phone much, but I need to be reachable. Thanks everyone!
Question about
How well would a Verizon LG enV3 work in China?
I'm happy to report that my Verizon LG enV3 works just fine in GuangZhou, China.
Before I left USA, I called Verizon and they enabled international calling for my number.
I've only received two SMS from USA, but I'm sure voice would work as well. The phone indicates that it's roaming, signal is a strong 4 bars, and shows correct local time.
