If your phone is not rooted you will need to use SDK w/ Eclipse installed. If you're rooted depending on your room it may be built into it or you can grab an app from the market.

i don't know whether my phone is rooted or not.. i'm using Samsung Gio 5660..here in India and i know that my android software has a built in screen capture.. How could a girl would know that much detail about phones..

When you are in the specific screen which you desire to take Screenshot, Press the Back button in right bottom and hold it. While holding Back button now press Home button in the middle. You will hear a capture sound and in moment it will appear Screen captured. Save as image file
3. Go in the Gallery app there is a new folder called Screen Capture. Open it, you will see the captured image. Enjoy!
