This is not something that is supported, or a normal thing to do. You should not experiment with the newest or pre-released OS on your main machine with all of your data.
You should be able to go back by wiping out your system, installing Lion, then restore from a time machine backup of your current system. I would highly recommend making a live backup with Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper before doing this.
The other option is to install Lion and restore all of your data and apps manually from a backup of your current Mountain Lion system. It is possible that restoring on Lion from a Time Machine backup created with Mountain Lion will not work, or cause major problems.
