Question about
How to fix my broken battery light indicator?
When I press the button to turn on the battery indicator light on the side of my MacBook Pro the lights do not turn on. Any ideas why this would be happening?
If you look at the teardown pic here www.ifixit.com/Teardown/MacBook-Pro-15-Inch-Unibod... Just to the right of touchpad you can see a small black cable. This is for the Batt LED that is mounted to the side of your MB. Best case scenario the cable connector has come loose from the MOBO. Worst case the cable/LEDs/MOBO connector are dead/fried. You could take your MB apart and check/reseat the cable. If you do Make sure you disconnect the main Batt first! And of course if you have any kind of warranty, it would be better to take it in. Most repair shops (including Apple) will replace the whole "top case" witch includes the main unibody, KB, and touchpad.
