Question about
How's the new Blackberry Torch?
Have been a long-time Blackberry Curve user, and it's time for a new phone (roller ball on last legs). Should I go for the new Torch that just came out, or wait for the NEWER Torch, or perhaps the Bold? Currently on AT&T Wireless.

I have used the old Torch, as well as the new Torch. I would have to say that I would recommend the new Bold if you can wait for it to come out. I really like the idea of the Torch, but in practice I found that in practice I was always opening up the phone to get to the keyboard. In the end, to me that is just one more thing to break on the phone and I have always opted for the Bold. I know that everyone is a little hesitant about waiting for the QNX phones from RIM, but I feel that we will always be "waiting" for the next thing, so you might as well go ahead and get the phone and enjoy it.

I have been using BlackBerry for some time, in addition to iPhones and an HTC Android phone. I have to say the 9850 is pretty solid. It is not dumbed down like the iPhone and not overly feature rich like Android. Having loved the physical keyboards on previous BB's and WinMo devices, I am really liking the full touch screen phone.
Is it enough to save RIM? That is TBD. The apps are lacking, but the phone and OS are pretty solid (and stylish).
