How much did it cost to manufacture the EVO when it was released?
I've tried to Google it, but it came up with no useful results. Sorry if it turns out that I did not look hard enough.

Alright, I went through a lot of work for this answer. My Googling initially failed me too, but I found a website that seems to sell individual EVO 4G parts at wholesale values, so I added them up.
I added up all the individual parts they had for sale, and it came out to about $124. This is a pretty rough estimate, but it's probably pretty accurate. I would wajor anywhere from $100-$150 is how much it cost them to make. The iPhone 4, by comparison, costs 187.51 and sells for $299.
I couldn't find any set-in-stone numbers from places like iFixit. Hope this helps.
