How many slots of RAM does the 13-inch Macbook Pro have?
I am wondering if I were to upgrade the RAM to 8GB if I will have to buy 2 4GBs of memory.

yes. as 8GB memory modules are not available at a reasonable price. you will need 2x4GB memory modules.
