Charge it until the battery meter is full. If you are concerned about overcharging, it is usually a non-issue as the device will stop charging itself when it gets full.

While overcharging is "usually a non-issue" as TgD says, that's not true 100% of the time. Don't charge the device for more than 24 hours at a time (that is, don't just leave it on the charger when you're not using it). Also, try to only charge it once it's getting close to depleted - try not to charge it when it's at 90%.
