Question about
How is the battery life on the EVO 3D compared to the EVO 4G?
I own the EVO 4G and battery life is not great. It can last me about 24 hours max. Sometime would be at like 20% battery after 12-15 hours. Is the EVO3D going to be any better? Or is it worse?
On my Evo 4G, my battery would be under 10% after 8hours, with minimal use.
With the Evo 3D, I am seeing about 50% left after 14 hours with mild email use on my work wifi. Under heavy use, 3D picture taking, playing music all day at work, heavy email use, I was able to squeeze 14 hours out of it before I got to 5% battery.
The nice thing about the 3D is that once you get to 15% battery left, HTC has a built in program that will enter the phone into power saver mode. This kills all animations and glitzy extras to save battery life. I have seen my 3D last 5 hours still being used out at a bar one night once I hit the 15% mark just due to this program.
In short, the battery is far superior, and larger (1730 mAh vs 1500 mAh), in the Evo 3d. Just another gold start on a stellar phones stat sheet!
