How good is video chat on the Vizio tab ?
My 2 year old can drive an iPad like nobody's business. - I'm looking for a lower priced tablet for him to play a few games and more importantly video chat with me when I'm on the road (Skype). - Anybody got Skype (or Google vid-Chat) running and can comment on quality ?
I purchased th VTAB when it was released and it did not have a video chat app. I returned it to Costco 5 weeks later because I felt it was too little too late. However, I have heard that there finally is a working video chat app as of today.

At this point, the Vtab supports Oovoo video chat.
So, yes, it has video chat. However it doesn't support anything that anyone actually uses yet. The good news is, Vizio does seem to be actually supporting this thing. I would expect that chat via Skype and Google Talk can't be too far down the road.

I had not heard of that program until Vizio announced it for the tablet. They promised Honeycomb for it, but ICS will be coming out in the next month or two. So far they have been updating the tablet on a regular basis. I want to believe that they will do a HC or ICS update at some point.
