How does Windows 7 function on this MacBook Pro?
Specifically with regards to the Retina display and gaming performance (Diablo 3)?

Windows 7 can be scaled to 2x at 1440 by 900. (In fact I posted the steps here gdgt.com/discuss/windows-7-bootcamp-19uz/ )
So with regards to windows, it should be good as Mac OSX by default uses the same scaling.
Now for Diablo, although I haven't tried this myself, I would HOPE that it runs similarly to the Mac version that was shown at WWDC. The Mac version was touted as being very playable at the full resolution of the retina display.
The question I think will be if you have to run the game at 1440 by 900 scaled at 2x, or if the Windows version will get the same patch as the OSX version to unlock the full resolution of the game.

I'm not a fan of Windows 7 in bootcamp (it's either blocky or too small to be usable), but Windows 7 running in Parallel's inside of OS X works well and looks good.
