I just discovered this while hanging out on gdgt and am loving the concept of it but can someone who actually owns it let me know how exactly it works?
I know that you get it, connect it to your wi-fi, also there is an iPhone app for it, but for example every time I weigh myself will it automatically be added to the iPhone app? Also if someone else use the scale how will that be recorded? I also read that it can keep track of up to 8 users but how does t hat work?
Any info will be nice and helpful.
Thanks

How does the Withings scale work?

I have it, and what you said is basically right. It connects to the withings cloud servers via my wifi. I can access the same servers from my iPhone or from their website.
It does keep track of multiple users. It makes an educated guess based on their weight. When I first got it, I had to go on the website and say that this weighing was a new user, and gave the details. When you stand on the scale, the display tells you who it thinks you are, so if it says something wrong, you can log in and correct it. I don't know how intelligent it is, as in my case, all the users have wildly disparate weights, so it's an easy task to know who's standing on it.

To add to the great answer provided by mlv, the scale will associate your weight with the last closest weight. We have 4 people using ours and two of us are close in weight so whenever we weigh in, the scale displays a foot icon. "MIC", use your left foot. "SAR", use your right foot.
