How does the notification system work in WP7? I've read/seen a few reviews and they either don't mention it or I missed it.

What happens when your phone is being used and you get a notification? What happens when your phone is on standby and you get a notification? Does anyone have a video of it in action? Thanks for the help, I'm considering a Focus.

This article/review link below has a lot of pictures showing off all aspects of the Metro UI for WP7. Scroll down to 'Page 5 Notifications' where you can see all of the ways the UI shows you notifications. You get most of the immediate personal info on the lock screen where you see missed calls, chats, emails and even upcoming calendar events. More app specific notifications get updated on the Live Tile. The tiles are what make up the main screen of the interface, and if a developer has added it into their app, you will get info added to the tile. If you are using the phone and you get a text, available wifi hotspot, or even Zune player controls, this will show up on the top of the screen, out of your way and available to interact with it and take you to their respective screens to continue on. This works differently and in my opinion, more intuitive with less interruptions, like I would get on my old iPhone. I hope more developers utilize all of the amazing tools WP7 has to offer. I think that once people get the UI and UX, we as consumers will have a much better time than the old days. BTW, I have the Focus, and LOVE it! Great screen, great speakers and great camera.
