Question about
How does one lock a MacBook down without a Kenigston lock port?
I'm hoping a solution like this will be available soon.

MacLocks - the same company whose product I linked to - took the time to reach out to me and let me know that they are working on their solution.
I think I'll have to secure it the way they're tied down at the Apple store.

Interesting point. Will have to go to an Apple store and see how they do it. Maybe snatch an unsecured one :)
Just kidding, but right now there doesn't seem to be a way.

That is not an elegant solution! One of the small things I would miss (not that small from a physical security perspective though!) along with the LED power display and 'anti-glare' screen.

You really can't lock it down where it's immobilized, but what you can do to secure it is set both a wake-up/screen saver password and an EFI password. Also, with iCloud and location services, you can set up an account so you can do Find My Mac.
