Question about
How do you guys feel about the keyboard? I honestly dislike it, I've only ever had this phone as far as touch screens go, so I can't compare it.
It's not bad, but it's not great. It's not the best out there, but it's perfectly doable. Some folks like Swype, but I found the stock keyboard to be just fine.

I got rid of it and replaced it with Swype - it is far superior.

I have had the first gen iPhone, this phone and have used my wife's Moto Droid both the soft keyboard and the physical one.
I have to say that the iPhone had a better keyboard for predicting what key I was trying to hit and it was much more responsive. I like when I hit the key to get feed back that it was registered and for it to show up on the screen in a timely manner.
The Moto Droid has the same delay on the soft keyboard but the physical keyboard was very snappy compared to the Eris.
The real complaint is that this phone seems to be underpowered to run the new versions of the OS but at the same time without those upgrades it has issues running software so it is a double edged sword. Keep the older software that is a bit more snappy but not be able to run your apps or upgrade and have it bog down but run whatever you need it to run.

I LOVE the keyboard. It is the easiest on-screen keyboard I have ever typed on, even in comparison to the iPhone. Also, the text prediction is amazing, no matter where I hit, it always knows what I want to say.
