How do I update Drobo 2nd gen. firmware?
I tried to update Drobo 2nd gen. (Firewire) firmware via Firewire and USB, but it won't reboot after the installation. I am trying to go from 1.3.6 to 1.3.7 using Drobo Dashboard 1.7.3.

It looks like Drobo themselves recommend using Drobo Dashboard to update the firmware: support.drobo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/31/~/wha...
There also appears to be a newer version of the Drobo Dashboard, v2.0.3 (www.drobo.com/support/updates.php). You might want to update that first before updating your firmware.

Install the new Dashboard (2.0.4 for PC, 1.2.1 for Mac)
Download the 1.4.0 firmware to your desktop from: www.drobo.com/support/updates.php
Click "Capacity and Tools" on the left, then "Tools" at the top right
Hold down "Ctrl" and left-click "Check for Updates"
Now you should be able to choose the update from your desktop
