How do I go about Adding new Buddies

On the 10.1 home screen there are 6 buddie icons that you can assign to your contacts .

How do I add more icons to the screen . I have looked everywhere for an answer

I am not sure which application's widget you are referring to, but you can certainly add shortcuts to your home screen by a long tap and selecting "contact" from either the shortcut option or the widget option, depending on which you prefer.
