How do I get wireless syncing to work in Apple iOS 5?

I can't seem to get wireless syncing to work. I've found a menu in Settings > General > iTunes Sync that will display the sync status when it's syncing, and in the idle state, has a button that says "Sync Now" on it as well. However, on my iPhone, the button is grayed out and below it says "Sync will resume when "<my computer name>" is available."

Any thoughts on how to get this working?

Wireless syncing is disabled in the first beta, hopefully they will enable it in one of the next ones.

As Sharp65 said, Wireless Syncing is disabled in the first beta release, but almost everything else is up and running. Once you sync it for your first time over the cable, there's really no other reason to sync it again because everything is kept in sync via the cloud.

You can't wirelessly sync over 3G, and you can set iCloud to only work over WiFi.

Wont all this iOS 5 syncing use a ton of data, so those of us with 200MB data plans.....?

Sounds like an epic faff, but after turning my iPhone off and on again, the button was enabled, when previously it was greyed out. Give it a try.

Oh, and yes, iCould will use lots of data (I have an iPad 2 and an iPhone 3GS and am using over 3Gb of storage). If you're on a restrictive data plan, iCould is not for you. You should move to a better ISP that offers unlimited data, most do now, unless you're on a budget plan (why you'd have spent loads on an iPhone/iPad but won't spend on a quality ISP beats me though!)
