Question about
How do I find out if my Android phone has the Carrier IQ software installed?
I was reading up on people's thoughts on the Carrier IQ software (gdgt.com/question/android-users-are-you-worried-ab...) and I was mildly concerned. Before I started freaking out, I wanted to know how can I find out if this is actually on my device (Droid X)?

I found an app on XDA that checks just for this.

from what I've read thou, the Droid X does not have it, but you can confirm that with that app.

If you're on Verizon they have come out and said that they are not using CarrierIQ on any of their phones.

Note: Mods based on Google's ASOP like Cyanogenmod will not have Carrier IQ software. You don't even need to check for it.

Try this link to get rid of Carrier IQ. BTW Verizon can say they don;t have it, but the phones they sell just might.
