Question about
How can you sync music from iTunes on Mac to the Nexus?
With my old android phone I used DoubleTwist and it worked pretty well once I had "cleaned" my itunes library to have only mp3 file but the lack of "disk mode" on the nexus has me at a stand still.
i am hoping for an easy way with minimal headache before the wife gets to the point of asking me how she does it on her phone too.

I have the Google Music Manager application for PC & Mac. All you have to do is tell it what folder to monitor and it uploads everything to Google Music. So I just have it monitor my /iTunes/music/ folder

MTP is better than "Disk Mode" (aka USB Mass Storage) so just use this: www.android.com/filetransfer/

this isn't a sync method, but after installing www.android.com/filetransfer/ you can drag music into the music folder and it works pretty well.

i don't know if this will work for you or not but i have a large iTunes library and i also use Spotify. i have started Syncing my music to my Nexus using the Spotify app. from what i understand it also means that i have to listen to my media through Spotify which is fine with me since it also has the newer music that i got through that service.
i have you tried the WiFi version of double twist, i wonder if that will work.

I'm using Google Music, which works like a champ, but as Apple Lossless encoded files don't work right now, I convert them with XLD (free.) you can always also go the Doubletwist or the Syncr route if you don't want to use Google Music, but I don't see the benefit myself to not use Google Music.
