Question about
How can I upgrade from iOS 5 Beta 7 to the official release?
My developer account expired shortly after the release of Beta 7. Now iTunes tells me I have the most recent version of the OS even though this is obviously not the case. When I attempt a full restore iTunes reports "the requested resource was not found". Short of finding an IPSW of the official version, which I have not been able to find yet, is there any way to upgrade along the normal path?

Well, my impatience has got the better of me. I found download links for the appropriate IPSW's here: techie-buzz.com/mobile-news/ios5-ipsw-direct-downl...
A manual install sounds like the better choice when it can be performed 3 hours before the more automated one.
Update: OS X software update prerequisite now clocking in at 12 hours.
Update 2: IPSW's won't install properly reporting "The device isn't eligible for the requested build"
Update 3: After getting home I downloaded new IPSW's from torrents after upgrading OS X and got my devices to restore properly after a couple of brief errors. Not sure if the original problem was a server error or the IPSW's themselves, either way I'm just glad to have my iPad and iPhone running the latest build of iOS 5.

If you are on a Mac or PC you just plug your iPad and find the following... "A newer version of the iPad Software is available (version 5.0). To update your iPad with the latest software, click update."
Mac Users can do this as well
go to your Apple in the upper left part of your MacBook or Desktop >> go down the dialog box to "Software Update" >> upgrade and install and then when its done just plug in your ipad. :)

If you can't get it to work with the iOS 5 IPSW, download the iOS 4 IPSW and restore to it. Then upgrade the normal way through iTunes. Make sure you backup first.
