How can I program the TiVo 30 second skip button?

My old TiVo button had a skip button that'd skip ahead by exactly 30 seconds, but I can't see anyway to bring this over to the Harmony One.

Any ideas?

First protip with the Harmony One: the software is complete garbage, but you can alleviate some of the pain by doing your configurations at the Harmony web site (which the desktop software polls and syncs with). members.harmonyremote.com/

Next up, the 30 second skip function is (at least for my TiVo settings) mapped to the "Advance" function. So map your "Skip Forward" button to "Advance" and you should be good to go.

I was able to find this thread:

forums.logitech.com/t5/Harmony-Remotes-Programming...

It's unclear to me if the OP actually found the answer to his question, but perhaps you'll understand what he's saying?

Have you tried the learning function of the Harmony One?

Personally, I can't stand the Harmony remotes. I find them maddening to program. The Pronto remotes, on the other hand, have always been fantastic to tinker with, but were always a pain to use in practice (not enough hard buttons). In the end, I use a Pronto to turn on the TV/switch inputs (because I can specify discrete codes), and my Tivo Slide remote (the best remote I've ever used) for the majority of my viewing.

Ryan's got one way. It's the fix I used. But if it's the button I'm thinking of it is a whole different thing . One is an 8 second jump back but you have a 30 sec so you might want to try this answer below or just to widen your horizon on the Harmony programming site.
Keep in mind you can add a new fully customizable button to the LCD screen to cover this and any further additions that didn't happen automatically. You can also move the buttons on the screen around on each page and from page to page.

Your best bet is to learn the command "raw". To do this you need to press the "Custom" button on the learning screen, scroll all the way to the bottom, and create a new name for your command. You'll need the original remote to copy the command from. I usually use something like "New skip back" or in your case 8 sec skip back. The advantage to learning "raw" is the fact that you're not just using a code that is just sitting on their device profile. These commands usually don't have the right delay settings and such.

Ryan, I agree the harmony desktop software is crap, but you just have to find ways around it. They've make it hard to do changes without getting too deep in the menus.
