How can I jailbreak to ios5?

Can someone recommend the procedure with a 3Gs that has the 6.15 BB and is at 4.2.1 now? I need a beginners TUT, as I jail broke this a long time ago, and don't really understand what I did :)

1. Download custom IPSW with edited hosts file.
2. Download official IPSW off iTunes
3. Restore using the official one.
4. Load the custom IPSW into Redsn0w
5. Follow Redsn0w instructions.

You're in luck, because the untethered jailbreak for 5.0.1 was only released today. Use the latest version of redsn0w, follow this guide: www.iphonefaq.org­/archives­/971711

I like this, albeit bare bones (no links). I get lost in the versions of Redsn0W to use, the fact that I have 6.15 as the BB, and in untethered or tethered?!? I don't like the sound of tethered, and not sure if there is an untethered way to go to iOS5.01 or just v5? Cheers!
