Question about

How can I get this CS50 to work with Mountain Lion?

I recently updated to Mountain Lion on my Mac and now I find that the headset (Plantronics CS50) does not appear under Sound-Input in System Preferences. It worked perfectly with the previous OS (Lion).

I unplugged the USB cord and plugged it into a different port - but this did not make any difference.

Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks,

Mike

I ended up doing the same thing (unplugging from the both the USB and power connections, waiting a few seconds, and reconnecting). This way I was able to use the mic with Dragon Dictate for Mac version 2.2... However, when I uninstalled version 2 and installed version 3 I had to do it all over again. Now it seems to be working well. Good luck with yours...

I was able to get it to work by unplugging it from both the USB and power connections. Waited a few seconds then plugged them both back in (can't remember the order). After that it was recognized in the system sound manager section of Mountain Lion.

Only problem is that the sound appears muted when I tried to use it. I'm trying to do Dragon 3.0 for the Mac and it can't hear through the Plantronics. Any ideas there?
