Help!!!! We bought a Kodak Zi8 a week ago, and we have had major problems with it!

Somehow we have lost a wedding video and a graduation video, and we don't know if it's the camera or the SDHC card (Micro Center's brand) 32 G class 6. With the wedding, we discovered the loss the next morning. In the case of the graduation (today!), there were other videos on the card that we had viewed multiple times and are now gone along with the graduation videos. The camera just shows 0/0 in the list. We have a dance recital tomorrow and do not trust the camera/card and we have borrowed a friend's camera. Anyone have any info/feedback? Please and thank you!

Yikes! That's really unfortunate to hear. I hope you can find some help here. Maybe there is some recovery software that folks can potentially point you to. Are you running a Mac or a PC at home?

Have you tried putting the SD card in an SD card reader yet or plugging the camera into your computer to see if you can find the videos on the card yet? Hopefully your friend with the SD card reader saves the day. I'm really not sure why they would just disappear though. Really sorry to hear that!

Lexar do some Image Rescue software, not sure if this would enable you to recover the files. Could be worth checking out.
