HDMI Problems: Distorted Image

Does anyone have problems with the HDMI on this thing? For the three years I have had it the display on my Philips HDTV is iffy at best occasionally being skewed or distorted. Sometimes I get no image at all The only solution appears to be turn the TV on and off (sometimes multiple times) until I get a clean image. I presume this is some sort of "handshake" problem between my TV and the Apple TV over HDMI. Does anyone else have issues? The problem does not occur with my xbox 360 via HDMI.
