Has anyone used the WD My Passport Essential hard drive?
I want to know how much speed it gives on USB 2.0 & what do WDC mean by "U CAN VIEW on TV"? I want to buy it for 1TB, any other valuable options ?
not a good idication. I get about 12mb/s using window explorer to copy files. not sure if this is the speed you are talking about.

buy the USB3.0 version. this drive seems to be slow but so far quite reliable.
