Has anyone taken theirs apart?
Just wondering if the WD My passport essential SE has a standard drive inside with SATA interface. or is it using a custom interface like the old passport drives.

It's using a standard sata drive, I have taken mine apart. My hard drive in an old laptop died and I have like 5 of these WD passports laying around, so I took one drive out and installed it in my laptop. It's just a standard sata drive inside with a usb adapter.
