Question about
Has anyone know how to root a Motorola Backflip?
I bought it for my wife but since the 2.1 update it's been slowing down tremendously which makes me want to try and root it and see if I can over clock it somehow or at least remove the native apps for some added space.
While Cyanogen is a great source for ROMS I wouldn't see it's the premier source. A lot of phones have strong communites that are not part of the CM Vendor Tree. That being said I found this through a quick google: theunlockr.com/2010/09/14/how-to-root-the-motorola...

I checked Cyanogenmod, and unfortunately they don't appear to have a custom build for that phone. You may keep checking elsewhere, but since Cyanogenmod is pretty much the premier source for custom ROMs, it doesn't look like you'll have much luck at the moment.
