I know I'm a little late to this thread, but I installed OSX86 yesterday on mine. The steps involved to get it working take some time, but it's not too bad if you have the patience. Have to get into full developer mode first, then install a Linux distro (there's a quick/easy way for Ubuntu 10.10). You do have to crack open the Cr-48 to unlock the ability to flash the BIOS from Linux. Then setup your thumbdrive to install OSX from. I'm going to play with it some more and maybe write a dumbed down guide maybe this next weekend. Mainly a consolidation of the resources I used to do it myself, not a precise detailed how-to. It took time, but like I said, it takes patience.

Most everything works though (Sleep, 3G, QE/CI gfx all don't). Wifi works after the installation is completed, wasn't picking up my router during setup for some reason. I like having a fuller, still capable very portable machine over the Chrome OS, which you can revert to by reflashing the original BIOS and running the Google supplied Chrome OS recovery software.

No, it's not worth it. If it's even possible (driver support, disk space, etc) it would likely be terrible for many reasons, with performance being the largest.

Search youtube there are multiple videos of people doing it... whether or not the performance reaches the level of tolerable for your needs I cannot say.
