Question about
Has anyone experienced any "shocks" fron the ear piece while it's in your ear? I've been experiencing this lately.
It doesn't hurt but it's annoying.
I have two pairs of these headphones and it happens with both. As already mentioned above, it happens more often in dry air. I've only had it happen when wearing polyester clothing which also supports it being related to static buildup. It happened a lot more on my first pair of these which I had replaced under my iPhone AppleCare because of a defective remote, the reason I mention this is because that pair had a different style headphone jack than both my newer pairs (the old pair had soft plastic around the 3.5mm jack while the new ones had hard plastic) and I think some re-engineering has helped reduce this issue in newer sets of these headphones.

Yes, this happens to me as well - little static shock pops, especially in the winter, when the air is dry.

Not with these but with the default iPhone headphones. Typically it's happened when I set my iPhone down on a treadmill while running.

It usually only happens when it's really dry outside, which in Houston is almost never. I don't know if there's a way to stop it except to hold it away from your clothes while you're moving to stop static from building up.
