Hard Drive Replacement for iPod classic

iPod Classic hard drive interface is PATA and I'm guessing a new Toshiba external like the one you linked to would be SATA, so it wouldn't be compatible if that's the case. Your best bet would be to find an OEM PATA laptop drive on Newegg or similar site if you don't want to purchase a kit from folks like ifixit.com or idemigods.com.
