Hard Drive Replacement for iPod classic

i am needing to replace my hard drive in my 160GB version, The replacement disk is around £80, but I have come across an external 1.8 toshiba disk for £35 any one know if it will have the same interface and work inside the ipod? www.amazon.co.uk­/Toshiba­-PA4140E­-1HA6­-1­-8­-inch­-Ext...

iPod Classic hard drive interface is PATA and I'm guessing a new Toshiba external like the one you linked to would be SATA, so it wouldn't be compatible if that's the case. Your best bet would be to find an OEM PATA laptop drive on Newegg or similar site if you don't want to purchase a kit from folks like ifixit.com or idemigods.com.
