Great mouse or greatest ever?

Hah, the fine folks over at Gizmodo say that this is the greatest mouse that's ever existed. What do you think? Are you all about this mouse, or is there another that belongs to your heart?

I had a MX510 way back when. Good Counterstrike mouse at the time, since there's so many buttons at your fingertips. Nice and precise too.

That being said, I think it's crappy compared to my current Logitech VX Revolution (and my backup (nano). The asymmetric shape works perfectly, and the scroll wheel is awesome. It's got great feel, great fit/finish, and looks nicer to boot. Maybe I'd prefer the feel of the MX series for gaming, but I'm not gaming much these days..

I've had an MX 518 for what seems like forever, but in actuality, has probably only been about 5 years. I like it a lot, and for most of that time would have agreed that it is the best mouse I had ever used.

That being said, I also have an MX 1100 that I think is the best mouse I've ever owned. The arch fits in my hand better, and the free scrolling wheel is something I don't think I could go back to not having. In my opinion, IT is the mouse to rule all other mice.

I had the MX revolution. While I loved it, my review of it here on gdgt shows why I've switched to the Magic Mouse (which I'll review here soon as well, so far I love it much more than I thought I would). If the Magic Mouse and the MX Revolution could breed, I'd be happy.

My personal favorite at the moment is the Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX but before that I used the VX Revolution for quite some time. The Razer Mamba is also quite nice for gaming.

I don't know about greatest ever, but having used the same model (MX900) I can attest to its quality. Today, I find the mouse a little too low profile.

One of the best mice in my opion is the Microsoft Explorer 3.0.

I bought this mouse in 2004(?) and it's definitely one of the best mice I've ever owned. But then again saying your favorite mouse is the best is like saying your favorite pizzeria is the best. Highly subjective!

Great mouse, since these things can so subjective. I've used one of these, the MX518 to be exact, for a few years, and don't think I could go to anything else. I've played with a few RAZER and MS Sidewinder mice, but they all get uncomfortable after extended use. The MX518 is just easy to use and comfortable. The decent price and good quality help too.

How is it with wrist strain? The original Apple clear mouse gave me carpal tunnel pretty bad and I had to switch to using trackballs, so I've been using the Logitech Marble Mouse for the last 8 or 9 years. I realize that Apple's terrible design was responsible for causing it, but I haven't used other mice regularly enough since then to determine whether the carpal tunnel will return with daily use of a proper mouse. Thoughts?

I don't own this one, but I do have a logitech, and I will never buy another brand of mouse unless they really screw up future designs...they are truly awesome mice...

I know a lot of people hate on the Apple Magic Mouse, but I love it.
