Galaxy Nexus all the way. It's stock, thin, has a removeable battery, and has ICS.

I personally like the screen (720p) of the Nexus. I was debating between the two, and the two reasons I went with the Nexus is because it is pure Google, and more importantly is not tied down by Motorola's own update schedule. (But then again Motorola Mobile is owned by Google itself, so I assume that in that front it's as much of a wash as it can be.) The other reason is the absolutely gorgeous screen.

The Razr has more bluetooth profiles, and an amazingly svelte profile.
Both are great choices, and to be honest it's really up to your preference.

Enjoy!

The RAZR is getting ICS in January, so I don't think OS is that important. RAZR is sleeker and better built. Battery-wise I don't think it is a big difference whether removable or not, batteries have come a long way and you can always replace the device if things go south with the battery.
Also I've dropped my moto a couple of times and it is as solid as it gets. At least there will be no creaks from worn plastic covers and removable parts that you MAY get with the Nexus.

If you want good software support then the Nexus is you're only option. The only advantage the Razr has over the Nexus is up-gradable storage, which hasn't been much of an issue for me on the Nexus since I've been able to get USB host up and working.

One quick comment about build quality though, Samsung phones "feel" cheap, but are probably some of the more durable phones you can find. Having your phone fused together with no removable parts means that when dropped, the force of the impact has no where to go. It pretty much guarantees you're screen and internals are going to break. It doesn't look pretty when a Galaxy phone hits the ground and pieces go flying off, the battery ejects, but it's far more likely to survive that impact intact.

The Nexus doesn't have gorilla glass, but it is still chemically treated and reinforced.

the razr's inefficient use of space (huge bezel) and inferior screen killed it for me. In terms of durability, drop the nexus in a case and you're good to go

samsung phones break easily... if you drop your phone (even occasionally), go with the razr (it has gorilla glass)
