Firmware 1.33NA 1/28/2010

¤ Fixed: Correct HNAP issue.
¤ Fixed: DNS relay issue ( WAN Slowdown )
¤ Added: Advanced DNS descriptions

Im thinking DNS relay issue may resolve the random slowdowns/drops. Only been on it for a couple hours will report back if it resolves said problems after sitting on it for a bit.

I've been using it for at least a week. Seems better, no issues so far.

I have been running the new firmware with no problems for the last few days and it appears to have actually made my home network more efficient when transferring data. Homegroup with my Windows 7 PCs is rockin'.

I installed this last Friday and I have had no drops/slowdowns since applying the update. Prior to this update, I would have to reboot the router every morning (sometimes multiple times through the day)...this firmware update seems to have resolved my issues - Finally!

So far I have not yet had to reset the router at all normally this is a common occurrence. It has been running rock stable since ive upgraded. If you are on 1.32 and having slow down/drop issues 1.33 is a must upgrade.

I was just coming to Gdgt to make a support post about issues I was having with the router (I'm assuming they're the DNS/WAN slow down issue) and saw this post. Just uploaded the firmware and hopefully it works better, I will post after a week of use.

Before this update mine was crashing on a fairly daily basis for as long as I can remember. Now with this firmware it has gone over 2 weeks of constant use without a single crash.

Hello guys,

We just upgraded two DIR-655 routers to 1.33NA firmware. After 3 days, one router experienced losing connections about once or twice a day (compared before w/ 1.32NA - a lot of times everyday). The other router on the other hand, we didn't experience any problem, yet.

My only question is, on both of these routers, after upgrading to 1.33NA, we noticed that the "Enable DNS Relay" is "unchecked" (Setup - Network Settings - Router Settings). So I don't why it is unchecked. The "Enable DNS Relay" is supposed to be checked, right??? Anybody? Thanks!!!

@Simplifier08 DNS Relay is up to you, it's not a definite yes/no

I've been running this for about a week now and have had 10x better experience than 1.32NA
