I just got a iPod nano 5th gen recently because my iPhone was becoming to inconvenient for the gym and I wanted something smaller. I use the Shure SE210 with the mic attachment for my iPhone and the sound is way better on those over the stock iPod headphones so I started off using those.
My first day working out with the new iPod, my iPod kept doing weird stuff like skip to the next song or pause. I was instantly upset because it was becoming a bother after the 3rd or 4th time. Although it's never happened with my iPhone, I figured maybe I'm hitting the button on the mic by accident so I paid special attention to the mic to not hit it. Did more squats and same problems were occurring (not every squat but kind of randomly).
Now I'm thinking it's my iPod and I'm looking through settings again (i already had turned off the shake to shuffle feature) and I'm not finding any features that have motion gestures or anything similar.
Still upset, I decide to switch headphones (just random troubleshooting) and the problem hasn't repeated. Anyone else run into this problem? I don't have the old headphone cord to test to make sure it's the mic but my guess is that my mic is messed up somehow or it's just not completely compatible for normal playback.
