Everything I read about gTV confuses me. Some one explain for me and everyone else that doesn't get what it is (hopefully I'm not the only one).

It seems like the basic premise is that Google TV is a platform that brings the web to your TV. It lets you just watch TV like normal or you can pull down content from the web and watch that. Seemed like it also had a full browser too. Kind of odd but it could work.

GoogleTV is essentially Tivo, or your Comcast/DirectTV DVR, but with added media-PC functionality. One standout feature is the inclusion of Android apps and games that are playable on your TV, which are not available on the other devices. But in the end, Tivo has most of these features already, although not integrated into the main menu (you have to exit live TV and enter the Tivo menu to access most). But with Tivo, you can browse and watch YouTube/Amazon Unbox/Netflix and more. There certainly isn't as tight of an integration with sites like ABC.com or Fox, but much of the functionality already exists.
