Weird. Sounds like the LCD could be busted. How old is the remote?

I have the same problem with a Harmony 680. It's what, 5 years old now? Time for a new one.

I only had mine for 14 months before the LCD just went out on me. I called support and they offered to give me 30% off the price of a new remote but said there was nothing they could do since I was out of warranty. It seems like the LCD giving out is a common issue with this series of remote.
