Question about
Does your phone get really hot?
Sometimes my phone gets really hot.
I had set gmail to sync all of my mail and put it back in my pocket, then i noticed it getting almost dangerously hot in my pocket.
It did it again today while magichour was waiting for me to select an image from the albums.
Battery life also drops off really fast when it gets hot, but its not the battery that is the cause of the heat - its hottest in the top right corner.

A couple of months ago when I had an international unlocked SGS2, I did have heat problems. After doing an extensive amount of searching, I found it was related to the phone's firmware (a fragmentation issue).
Basically, in earlier firmwares, the phone was dedicated too much processing power to simple tasks like mail syncing or creating a calendar event and was going into overdrive which was causing the phone to heat up. The heat then causes the battery to fail making you lose battery life quickly. It was supposedly fixed in later updates to the phone, but I didn't like the idea of owning a phone that was different (firmware/software wise) than the SGS2 someone else had so I returned it.
If you decide to keep it/wait it out, try to find a cool area to place the phone on quickly when it heats up because people have complained that it can damage the camera.
Good luck!

I have to say mine rarely gets warm, much less hot, but I updated to android 2.3.4 within days. it only gets slightly/noticeably warm when i play games for an hour or more continuously (damn those new RPGs!). SO yes I agree i think once you have 2.3.4 or higher it shouldn't be an issue,.
